Use Questions & Answers to Score Candidates

Are you getting too many unqualified inbound applicants? JobScore can help with our re-launched candidate scoring.

Originally scores were calculated using candidate attributes like location, keywords, employers, job titles, degrees, and skills.

But some employers ask candidates questions like “How many years have you worked in restaurants?” which can be a very strong indicator of a match.

Because asking questions works, you can now include candidate questions and answers as scoring criteria, and set their importance:

Click on scores to see how each criteria contributes to the overall score.  If things don’t look right, you can easily make adjustments:

To use questions and answers as scoring criteria:

Scoring criteria can include Checkbox, Multiple Choice, Number, Date, and Text questions.  There are currently no plans to support Candidate NPS, Diversity, or File Upload questions.

We hope this helps make it easier to zero in on qualified candidates.

The ability to use candidate questions and answers in scoring criteria is part of candidate scoring re-launch, which is being rolled out gradually throughout June of 2025.  Please email support if you’d like to try the new scoring sooner rather than later.
